Attention: All  fall 2010 internship placements are listed on The Office of Field Experiences web site.

Date Changes: Internship II/Graduate Internship begins on August 23, 2010 and ends on December 3, 2010. Internship II/Graduate Internship placements have been made and are noted by AASU SID (907) number. You may access them at the Office of Field Experiences’ web site.

When the candidate receives his/her placement, he/she will email the cooperating teacher to introduce him/herself and indicate whether he/she plans to participate in any or all of pre-planning. Students must complete the fifteen (15) week internship that begins on August 23, 2010 and ends on December 3, 2010 whether or not they participate in pre-planning.  Remember that all SCCPSS interns participate in pre-planning.

Please note the school start and end dates for the counties in a separate document. Please read the description of pre-planning. Pre-planning is mandatory for all interns placed in SCCPSS because it is part of the required fifteen week internship experience. The start dates in  Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, and all Brunswick counties are prior to AASU’s first day of fall classes and thus, pre-planning is optional for the interns placed in other counties.

There will be a mandatory Internship II/Graduate Internship Orientation for all candidates in Savannah-Chatham, Bryan, Liberty, and Effingham Counties on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. in Ashmore Hall, Room 119 or 5:30 p.m. in UH 156.  You will meet your university supervisor at that meeting.

There will be five (5) additional seminars for all interns who are not teachers of record. Teachers of record are excused from all but the last seminar because they are held during the school day.

These seminars are mandatory. If an intern needs to miss a seminar, her/she can attend the same seminar at the Brunswick or Savannah campus.
