Attention all Candidates in the College of Education:
The AASU Student Georgia Association of Educators organization strives to provide high quality professional development opportunities and support for the students enrolled in AASU’s College of Education.

Benefits
In order to become a member, please fill out the form in the ECE office and submit it with a check made out to SGAE for $12. One of the benefits of joining SGAE is to be able to participate in the professional development and leadership opportunities offered by the Georgia Association of Educators (GAE) at the local, state, and national level. Two of our current AASU officers hold state offices and have attended national leadership conferences. Another benefit is the free liability insurance provided by GAE. In addition, GAE provides GACE tutorial workshops on campus, twice yearly, by experts in the field.

CPR Training
CPR Training for SGAE members is being held several times this fall. The first training will be held on Aug. 21st 4-7 PM at University Hall. Please sign up by calling SGAE’s treasurer, Kassi Kixmiller, 812-340-0811. Space is limited to 15 members. The cost is $36 cash or check made out to SGAE. Please leave the check or cash in an envelope in the SGAE box at the ECE office with your name, email address and phone number.

First SGAE Meeting
The first meeting for SGAE will be held on September 15th, 6:00-7:00 pm in University Hall. Please plan to attend. If you want to become more involved in SGAE, please see one of the officers or advisors:
