Second Collaborative Digital Education Summit
May 9, 2008 |
The Digital Innovation Group @ Georgia College, will be hosting the
Second Collaborative Digital Education Summit in Milledgeville, GA on
July 22-24. Designed for K-12 and higher education teacher preparation
programs, along with support disciplines and staff, this year’s theme,
“Getting Digital Dirt On Your Hands”, represents the engaged, hands on
nature of the experience. The event will be a combination of
discussions with leading practitioners and a full day of hands on and
small group activities. Alumni will share their advances since last
year’s gathering and students will talk about how technology plays a
role in their lives. Last year we had a wide range of participants
from the private and public schools and institutions, parents,
superintendents, deans and other administrators, technical support
staff and community leaders. We encourage teams to join us, especially
with diverse membership. After all, collaborating enhances the
learning experience.
Registration for the three day event, with food, breaks and an iPod
touch to take home the materials developed is $495.
(Basic registration is $295 without the iPod but a video capable iPod
will be needed for the hands-on activity day.)
We are still finalizing the agenda, so if you or your colleagues have
some innovation to share, please email us at digroup@gcsu.edu .
NOTE: In order to assure we continue with our engaged, collegial
environment, registration will be limited.
