Light the Night Follow-Up

August 30, 2007 |

kenny2.jpg The College of Education’s Light the Night Team is dedicated to walking in memory of Kenny “Curls” Reeves who was a Health and Physical Education student we lost to leukemia this summer.  Any student, staff, faculty or community member is welcome to join our team to help raise money in Kenny’s memory.  The Light the Night Walk will be held on Friday, October 5th at Forsythe Park.  The walk is just an added bonus of your participation and is not required.  Any amount raised will help us reach our goal. kenny-anything.jpg

leukemia_logo.gifThis is the first year the College of Education has been a part of this campaign, and we hope to show a huge presence in the fundraising for Savannah.  We, along with the College of Health Professions, are representing AASU in this race to find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma by the year 2015!

If you were unable to attend the Light the Night Kick-Off today, you missed a very inspiring video.  Please take the time to watch it now.

Please click here to see the video.

The Health & PE Department is also selling bracelets in memory of Kenny.  The bracelets are $1.00 and all proceeds will go to a Leukemia Foundation in Kenny’s name.  Please see Mrs. Evans in the PE Office if you are interested in purchasing one.
