Web Tools & Internet Literacy
May 24, 2007 |
Today’s students use technology for everything. They spend their free time “texting”, “IMing” and playing the latest video games. Keeping up with new technologies is becoming even more important as educators try to keep this generation of kids engaged and learning. Come to this workshop to learn how to use the internet as a highly effective learning and teaching tool. Over the past couple of years, the internet has moved from a one-way source of information to a 2-way read/write web. Engage students with new web tools for collaborative learning including wikis and blogs. Learn helpful research tips including effective internet searching, checking website validity and organizational tools.
Friday, June 8th, join Julie Sabella and Farah Jetha to learn how to protect and teach your students effectively using today’s technology!
The workshop will be held from 9:30 until 2:30 p.m. at the Riverfront Marriott Hotel in Savannah, GA.
