Chatham County Public Schools Career Fair

When:  Saturday, May 19, 2007
Time:  10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Where:  Savannah High Gymnasium, 400 Pennsylvania Ave.

Registration is free and open to all teachers who have a current Georgia clear, renewable certificate or a professional out-of-state teaching certificate.  Representatives from elementary, middle and high schools will be available to meet with you.

GTAPP and other non-renewable certification path applicants who have passed/exempted the Georgia basic skills requirement, passed the required Georgia content exam(s) and have obtained at least a 2.5 undergraduate GPA may attend with prior written/e-mail notification from Human Resources.

REGISTRATION

  1. Submit an online application at http://www.sccpss.com for a position(s) in your area of certification.
  2. Click here for an online registration form.

Bring copies of the following items to the Career Fair:
(No copies will be made on-site.)

  1. Resume
  2. Professional Teaching Certificate and/or Licensure (Georgia or out-of-state).
  3. All college transcripts (Office transcript will be required prior to being hired).
  4. GACE Basic Skills and Content Scores OR Test scores applicable to your state.

BE PREPARED

  1. Arrive early to meet with as many school administrators as possible.
  2. Dress professionally.  Please keep in mind you may be standing in line, so wear comfortable shoes.
  3. Be prepared to answer questions about your teaching experience.  In most cases, Administrators/Principals will be hiring at the fair.
  4. Bring a valid USA Driver’s License and Social Security Card/Birth Certificate.
